Executive Team
JT English -
Lead Pastor

JT has been the Lead Pastor at Storyline since April 2020. Before joining Storyline, JT served as a Pastor at The Village Church. He and his wife Macy grew up in Colorado and they are both so excited to be back home with their two kids, Thomas and Bailey. He received his ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and his PhD in Systematic Theology from Southern Seminary.

Lindsay Acocella -
Executive Director

Lindsay grew up in northeastern Ohio and began following Jesus at a young age. While serving as a volunteer and then as a staff member in churches in Ohio and Georgia, Lindsay grew to love the behind-the-scenes ministries of church life. She and her husband Frank have four children, and enjoy reading, hiking, cooking, basketball, and family game nights. Lindsay is passionate about discipleship and organizational excellence in the local church, and received and M.Div and a DMin from Gateway Seminary.

Josh has served in Next Generation ministry since 2010 and is passionate about seeing the church and the home work together in the discipleship of kids and students. He is married to Amy and they have four children: Levi, Reese, Cal, and Jordan. In his free time, Josh enjoys watching & playing sports, writing songs for kids & families, and going to concerts with Amy.

Samantha Swanson -
Assistant to the Lead Pastor

Samantha is a Colorado native who still can't get over how amazing it is that she gets to see the Rocky Mountains every day on her way to work. After spending four years as an executive assistant in the software industry, she is excited to bring her love for all things administration to the church. Her faith deepened in college when she learned to see the Bible as one big story of redemption, and her hope is that more people would come to know God's story and their place within it. She loves hiking, kayaking, reading, writing, and laughing so hard her face hurts.
Jenna Armitage -
Assistant to the Executive Pastor

Jenna has lived in Colorado for 20 years and enjoys being outdoors any chance she gets. She is a wife and a mother to three boys. She is passionate about Family Discipleship and seeing God’s mission go forward.
Rachel Provart -
Assistant to the Executive Director

Rachel grew up in Iowa then moved north to attend the University of Minnesota. As a U of M Golden Gopher, she got a degree in Youth Studies, met her husband Colin, and, most importantly, heard & believed the good news of Jesus Christ. Rachel moved to Colorado with her husband in August of 2023 to join the Storyline Church family. In her free time, she enjoys making art, reading, playing & watching sports, and hanging with friends & family.

Matt Powell -
Worship Minister

Matt graduated from Boyce College in 2015 with a degree in Worship and Pastoral Studies. He is passionate about corporate worship and desires to equip the church to “admonish one another through singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs” (Col 3:16). He is married to Courtney and they have two daughters, Addie and Lottie. Matt loves basketball, watching sports- specifically, the UNC Tarheels, Nike Blazers, and hanging out with his family.
Will Mason -
Associate Worship Minister

Will loves serving the local church by leading musical worship. He is passionate about crafting intentional liturgies that encourage and equip the body of Christ. He loves training musicians to use their gifts to serve the Lord with excellence. Will graduated from Boyce College in May of 2023 with a degree in Worship and Pastoral studies.

Kids Minister

Jessica graduated from Colorado Christian University with a bachelor's in Theology. She is passionate about discipleship in the local church and in the family. She accepted Christ when she was 8 years old and realized her call to ministry at a young age. She is a tennis player, an avid skier, and loves pickleball. Her favorite books are A Severe Mercy, the Lord of the Rings, and The Mark of the Lion.
Joey Bell -
Associate Kids Minister

Joey has always loved and been involved at the local church. However, his original experience comes from Christian Camping and for the last 10 years has been in the real estate world. Joey is married to his college sweetheart Kelly, and they have four fantastic young children who give them a run for their money every single day! The Bell family loves all things outdoor and adventurous. Originally from Texas, they have called Colorado home for almost 10 years now. If you can't find Joey at church, he is probably building something or wanting to play ultimate frisbee.
Lily Carroll -
Kids Administrative Assistant

Lily is a lover of all things brunch and coffee. On any given morning, you will likely find her making a quality breakfast sandwich, listening to her favorite podcast, and sipping a cold brew coffee. She is a recent graduate of Boyce College in Louisville, Kentucky. There she studied a B.S. in Music and Worship. As she serves in Storyline Kids, her driving focus is not shying away from teaching children all of the Bible. She is passionate about equipping children and families with the Gospel and Biblical theology.
Morgan Marshall -
Student Minister

Morgan grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado with a love for the mountains and running. She gave her life to Christ at the young age of 5, but grew to understand that God wanted a relationship with her when she was in middle school. She sought out an elementary education degree, but felt God calling her into youth ministry. After being on staff at a church in Texas for five years, she finally returned to Colorado where she serves as our student minister, desiring to see the next generation transformed by the love of Jesus!
Matt McDermott -

Matt joined the Storyline staff in December 2022 from South Central PA after over a decade of leadership in student ministry. He loves to help students better understand the Bible themselves and share the gospel with their peers. He is married to Christa and they have two kids, Jack and Clark. Matt enjoys running, drinking coffee, and spending time with his family.

Associate Facility Manager

Jim has served in ministry for the past 15 years. He is passionate about seeing people fall in love with
Jesus in every aspect of their lives. In Jim’s free time, he loves photography and experiencing God’s
beauty in nature while going on adventures with his wife, Emily. Jim is affectionately known as “The
Bestower of Nicknames.” If you get to know him, you will likely get one.
David Gothard -
Director of Operations

David grew up in the mountain town of Conifer, CO and has lived in Arvada for the past 14 years. He has been a member of Storyline since the launch service in 2015, along with his wife, Kendra and their three children, Addison, Brecken and Caden. He has a passion for the local church and loves to serve at Storyline. David is a fan of all Colorado sports teams and enjoys spending time with his family in the great outdoors of Colorado.

Production Manager

Joe has served in Church Production ministry since 2009 and is passionate about utilizing technology to change hearts, renew communities, and grow our affections for Jesus. He is married to Beth and they have three girls: Lilly, Aulani, and Eisley. In his free time, Joe enjoys cycling (road and mountain), getting dubs with the squad, and spending time with family.
Rosalie Davis -
Church Accountant

Rosalie enjoys the opportunity to apply her accounting skills at Storyline. She came to know Christ at a young age while growing up in western Canada. Rosalie, her husband Scott and two sons moved to Arvada in 2012. They have attended Storyline since 2015. She loves opportunities to connect with family and friends over outdoor pursuits like mountain biking and hiking.
Sam Harrell -
Operations Associate

Sam graduated from Florida State University in 2020 with a Master’s degree in Accounting. He worked in Corporate Accounting for two years after college, at which time he began to feel God nudging him in a different direction.
He is passionate about people, building relationships, and helping God’s mission move forward. He is confident that if chosen he would win Survivor. He hopes to continue to follow God’s will for his life in working at Storyline Church for as long as He allows.
Caitie Davis -
Human Resource Manager

Caitie was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, moved to Colorado to join the Storyline team in 2020. She previously worked with JT English at The Village Church and loves being able to use her gifts of organization and administration for the local church. Her prayer for Storyline is that people would know and love the Lord more deeply. In her free time, you can find her hiking, baking, hand lettering, or hanging out with friends.
JJ Anderson -
Production Associate

JJ is a student at Colorado Christian University. He is originally from Houston, Texas and is studying entrepreneurship. JJ has a music production background in both and studio settings, and is passionate about bringing glory to God through creativity and excellent art. JJ loves reading, fixing his old jeep, and anything outdoors.

Jacque is a DIY attempting, Jesus loving, small town rooted, Colorado sports fan. She has absolutely no standards when it comes to coffee and thinks the stuff at the gas station is perfectly fine. When she’s not working, you can be confident she’s wandering Crate and Barrel, the cook book section in the library, or trying new restaurants in Denver. She loves her two dogs, intentional conversations, and watching people do what God created them for. She graduated from CU Denver with a degree in Strategic Communications which ultimately led to her passion for really good packaging and, of course, TikTok.
Rachel Reagor -
Associate Connections Minister

Rachel is from Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She is a graduate of Colorado Christian University and is currently pursuing an MBA in leadership. Rachel is passionate about hospitality, people, and knowing the word of God. In her free time, you’ll find Rachel exploring new coffee shops, playing card games, baking yummy treats, hanging out with friends, and playing pickleball. She loves to travel and has it on her bucket list to visit every state in America one day. Rachel enjoys finding new music, and she is always open to song suggestions!

The Salt Company Minister

Colin has been serving in college ministry since he graduated from the University of Minnesota. It was in college that he experienced the joy of following Jesus. He is passionate about helping college students discover what is true about God, themselves, and the world around them and how to live in light of this. Colin is married to Rachel and together they like to drink good coffee, be with friends, and get competitive playing sports.
Katie Thornton -
The Salt Company Associate Minister

Katie grew up in Wheaton, Illinois and attended Wheaton College. She graduated in 2016 with a degree in Elementary Education. In 2019, the Lord opened the door to work in college ministry with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. She loved the opportunity to influence students for the kingdom at such a pivotal time in their lives. Now on staff at Storyline with The Salt Company, she considers it a privilege to get to partner with God in what He's doing in and through college students in Colorado. In her free time she likes to spend time with friends and family, play sports, go camping and read.

Mac joined the staff at Storyline in March of 2024. He previously served for eight years as an associate pastor in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio. He is married to Keara, and has a daughter named Elinor. He's passionate about seeing men and women transformed by Jesus and his gospel. He enjoys running, reading, and the Michigan State Spartans.
Kyle Mack -
Director of Missions

Kyle joined the Storyline staff in the fall of 2022 after 9 years as the Jefferson County Area Director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. It was through FCA in 2007 at the invitation of a coach on mission that Kyle was saved through faith. As a Storyline member since 2020, his desire is to see this church empowered to reach their neighbors in Arvada and the nations by living on mission and reaching the lost with the good news. Kyle and his wife, Katie, have been married for 9 years and have 3 boys, Brody, Brooks and Bo.
